"In the end" was written and performed by the popular rock group, Linkin Park. In it's release in 2002, "In the End" jumped to the top of the charts for 38 weeks, selling over 500,000 copies. "Us" heard this song in the mall and after loudly reciting all of the words, Michael and Carissa decided that they should do their own unique cover of "In the End". In their arrangement, they've taken the notable rap and spoken word of the song and created a melody for it. While staying true to the chorus and the bridge, they have musically re-written the verses and performed the entire song at slower, more intimate tempo. This acoustic take on "In the End" shows how versatile and style-bearing one song can become.
